Learn technical scientific French

Apart from our Masters of Science & Technologies courses, entirely delivered in English, all our agro-engineering courses and Master programs are taught in French. Consequently, a B1-B2 level in French is recommended. International students proving a B2 level will be preferably admitted. Academic performances in relevant scientific fields should show at least an average grading of 60 % (12/20).

In order to help you improve your language skills, French language courses are offered at the ENSAT and are highly recommended to international students who have not reached a C1 level in French. Courses are held 3 hours weekly and enable students to validate 3 ECTS.

 

SUMMER SCHOOL AT THE TOULOUSE INP-ENSEEIHT

Students selected to study at INP-ENSAT during the Fall, can follow an intensive 3-week course in French for Scientific Purposes before starting their academic semester in mid-September. The sessions are held at the ENSEEIHT located in Toulouse down town.

Our team of qualified teachers in French as a foreign language will provide courses to our incoming international students so that they will be prepared for their engineering studies in one of the INPT “Grandes Ecoles”. The main aspects of the program are :

 

  • French for every day communication
  • French for scientific purposes
  • French for professional Purposes

 

Students are evaluated through continuous assessment methods and by a final table Examination. They are awarded 3 ECTS that will be included in the Learning Agreement, if they succeed the examinations.

 

Additionally, students can follow the optional cultural program which includes a wide variety of activities (visits of historical sites, sport and leisure activities etc.). Students will have buddies to help them settle in Toulouse.

Required level in French: A2 minimum

LANGUAGE COURSES AT THE FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TOULOUSE

 French as a foreign language and many other language courses (English, Spanish, Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese, Swedish...) are on offer throughout the academic year to PhD students and researchers-lecturers of the UT member institutions.
